Glaciovolcanism concerns volcano interactions with ice in all its forms and any meltwater created by volcanic heating of that ice. This session will focus on recent contributions to glaciovolcanic processes at ice-clad volcanoes.

17-22 November 2014 Queretaro Mexico Important deadlines: 30 November 2013 (expression of interest)

Mexico is a natural laboratory where volcanism of different ages and tectonic settings is widely exposed. The 5th International Maar Conference will focus on both maar-type volcanoes and other types of volcanoes in the monogenetic fields. Sessions related to architecture and evolution of the volcanoes, their structural and tectonic settings, hazards related to monogenetic activity, environmental studies, economic and cultural aspects, analog experiments, and modeling will be held during the conference.
